Hot Springs Village Pundit

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas is now my home. After a career on law enforcement, I love living in "The Village" and all of the Hot Springs area. I am responsible for everything on this blog you like, anything you DO NOT LIKE or find OFFENSIVE is the idea of anyone but me. Like a dang LIB-ER-AL, I don't take responsibility for my own actions. I'm glad you're here. God Bless

N. P. R. vs. Juan Williams

I've really followed this story.  It's a "real world look at the dangerous of political correctness gone wild.  I think Fox News got Juan for 2 mil for 2 years and he's probably worth triple that with this controversy, so Fox wins.  Juan has a good book and/or TV deal out of this, so he wins too.  Someone or entity has to lose for Fox and Juan to come out so well.  Who lost?  Now think about that for a moment.  Is it one person/entity or a list?

About Me

My photo
H. R. Goodman, Jr.
I am a retired St. Louis County, Missouri police officer. I moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in 2001 where I enjoy the slower pace of living. I enjoy gardening, reading and fixing computers. I also code software for various police departments across the mid-west. I am a graduate of the University of Missouri in Columbia where I majored in criminal justice, then 3 years Army, 11 Alpha. My wife died 7 months after giving birth to our 3rd child, 1st daughter. Her mini-van was struck while she was in the North bound lane of I-55 heading back to St. Louis by a semi truck which jumped the medium and hit her vehicle head on. Medical tests showed the driver was on "speed" to stay awake. He later did 3 months in jail, 5 years of unsupervised probation and loss of license. Why...I don't know, but I knew that faith in the Lord carried me through and my church helped me raise 2 fine young men and a wonderful daughter. I later earned another B.S. in computer science as a part-time student from the University of Missouri - St. Louis while I was on the police department full-time. I retired in 1999 after 27 years on the force.
